I just finished watching Extreme Beliefs and I was struck by story of the animal rights activist Shani. While I am not a vegan, I really think what she is doing is good. It is obvious that she just wants to do what she thinks is right and to help animals. However, she did say part of her beliefs is the idea that she is against the idea of making money off of animals. Does this include pets? I noticed that she had a cat, and I wonder, did she pay for that cat? Even when you adpot an animal, you usually have to pay fees, some of which go to the shelter. Wouldn't buying a pet be making money off of it?

Just finished watching Secret Lives of Women - Size Matters, and I myself am a VERY plus-size woman (5'1" - 330 lbs) :-(. Just wanted to say that Lisa Marie and Cher are both beautiful and intelligent women!!! I say kudos to the both of them. I wish that there was a club like Club Bounce around where I live (northwest Georgia), and a clothing place like Hourglass Fashions, even the plus-size clothing stores around here such as Lane Bryant, don't always carry the size that I need, and forget getting clothes at Wal-Mart or K-mart!!! I am so happy for them that they are comfortable with who they are, wish that I was, I am VERY self-conscious about my size :-(. Well, I guess that's about it for now :-), hope everyone out there has a great evening and God bless :-).

Why is the episode on polygamy only about mormons? Non-mormons have similar relationships, but in a different way....3 people loving each other, and are all together, no first or second wives...I feel like the episode was very incomplete, and only showed the "dark side" of polygamy, and the mormon side.

Not to sound harsh, but I have been recovered from anorexia for 12 years now and Heather is an incredibly selfish, snotty person. I cannot believe what I am watching and her nasty attitude with her Dr and her friends and I'm on the side of having been there. I don't know why but is anyone else rubbed wrong by her?

First I really can't feel sorry for the tall lady, can't remember her name at the moment. Those jeans she tried on at that store were short but not ridiculously, she could have gotten away with them. And as far as shoes go, there are stores that sell larger sizes in normal shoes to women and men. If our fairly mid size town had one nearby I'm thinking she could find something without a 4 inch heel.
I'm glad that Lisa Marie and Cher are confident in their bodies but how difficult is it for large women to find clothes. Our mall has 5 dept. stores that carry large sizes and three stores devoted to those sizes. On the other hand I am a person who tries to control my weight and health but can never find any thing to fit me. Most clothing stores cater to large woman or teenagers, I happen to have hips. Finding a cut that works is difficult and finding my proper size (6 or 8) can be even more challenging. I used to shop with a friend in Lane Bryant, very cute clothing especially for a twenty - thirty something in the workforce. The only store that was comparable was Express and I'm paying more for 1/2 the fabric. My husband wears XXL and I not only pay more for his shirts, none of our dept. stores have a big/tall section for men. He does need to lose some weight but he's built like a football player and pretty healthy. Most women that need "woman's" sizes are not anywhere near a healthy weight.
A question on Club Bounce too.....Are slim women allowed inside if we are with our BBW friends??

Hi there. My name is Jennifer Ward. I am Lisa Marie's partner in http://www.hourglassfashions.com and you will see me dressed in black side slit slacks and a cute black top, during the segment about Hourglass Fashions.
I met Lisa many years ago when I was scared to show off my body and always covered my arms, and wore baggy clothing. After I got to know Lisa Marie with all of her confidence she really inspired me to stop hiding behind my fat and start living my life. I started to do the same for other women whenever possible, using photography and now I work at Club Bounce as the club photographer. This allows me to watch women literally change before my eyes. Women who used to hide from my camera, now grab my arm as I walk by and ask me to take their photos each week, striking a Diva pose and showing off those fabulous curves. When you look at the club photos and Ladies Room Chronicle videos each week at http://www.clubbounce.net ,you can really see how much fun these men and women are having and it makes you want to be a part of it. I'm not sure I would be the woman I am today if it weren't for my friendship with Lisa Marie and I feel honored to be a part of the important size acceptance movement she is championing.
When you go to Hourglass Fashions you will see that our goal is to celebrate women's curves with our designs. We strive to give our customers a chance to feel beautiful and sexy and not hide their bodies in mountains of fabric. We have hundreds of color and style options so you never have to look the same as your friend and you get options that aren't normally available to Big Beautiful Women. We also showcase most of our designs on beautiful plus size women so you know how an item will look on your curves and prove that you don't have to be a size 6 to be beautiful and sexy!
With much love,
Jennygirl (Jennifer Ward)

I love these 2 women, I wish I had info to their website. Tonight's show was very good and opened my eyes. To know that women of a larger size can be sexy! I love Cher and Lisa Marie's clothes and I would love to know their makeup tips too. There's times I feel good about my size then there are moments all that goes out the window. I love Cher & Lisa Marie's confidents, I would love to feel good in my skin again. Is there anyone else feeling this same thing. Also, is there anyone out there that knows these lovely ladies website address? Thanks ladies!!!

Wow, I was just taken in by Denise. I grew up in Central California, and was jumped by girls in jr. high so that they would prove they were tough. It was cruel, but not the extent of what these women know.
I mostly related to Denise. She turned her life into something in which she has pride. I think it took a huge amount of guts to lay out her life and her mindset as a young woman. Most people cannot confess their deepest feelings especially if they are negative. I'm so impressed by her, and her optimism. I have in my own life overcome some serious issues, and Denise, who's life had larger stakes in some ways turned her life into something very real and furture looking as opposed to doomed to death or jail.
I applaud you Denise. You are more than that idyllic image you saw one day in the past. You are so much more. You have inspired me to keep on the path of advancement and optimism. I would be proud to know you.
