Oh goodness! Where do I even begin on this journey to the altar?
The week of my wedding, I was nothing less than a stress case. From my bridesmaids and my family, to the venue almost not letting us film there. So take a minute, just sit right there, and I'll tell you how I became the baddest bride on this season's air!
First and foremost, I’d like to say: what bride doesn’t want the spotlight to be on them during their big day?
My bridesmaids just couldn’t get their crap together and understand that I needed them to be there for me 100 percent that week. I would say the biggest obstacle during this entire process was that my mom and dad didn’t want to attend my wedding because of the show. I think it should be a given that my dad is at my wedding, regardless of whether or not a TV show is filming. That shouldn’t matter, in my opinion.
I would say the biggest thing I learned from this experience is that I can definitely be obnoxious and over the top. While I think my actions were valid due to it being my day, I also think I could take a step back and realize how it affected others during that time.
I will never forget the stripper being at my house when my bridesmaids surprised me and my best friend being on the back of my couch with popcorn in her hand like she was watching a movie. This overall experience was one of a lifetime and something I thoroughly enjoyed. And who knows, maybe you’ll see me, again!
