“How My Parents Have Inspired Me” – Boogie
The definition of "inspiration" is the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially something creative. That's what my father has been doing my whole life. He not only inspires me, but he inspires the whole world. It's an incredible feeling to see how much respect he constantly receives. I hope that one day I earn that same type of respect from others.
Throughout my 23 years on this planet, I've never seen my father take a day off. I remember when we would go on these spectacular vacations and he would be handling business 50% of the time. We would be in St. Barth or Hong Kong or Ghana and he'd be on the phone, closing million dollar deals. The other 50% of his time was spent with the family. It was inspiring watching him take care of us while taking care of business. The phrase "Work hard, play hard" has great meaning to my family.
The stories my father has told me about the road to his success is phenomenal; the majority of it, jaw dropping. The amount of time he spent protecting the people he loved, just to make sure that their families would be ok, is inspiring. He always put the needs of people he loved before his own. He was never selfish. This is one of the reasons I believe that everyone who has had a chance to get to know my father, loves him.
Growing up, my father always told me "If you paid for it, its yours". That statement stuck with me to this day. It inspired me to go out and make my own money, make a name for myself, and start my companies. I couldn't tell you the last time my father gave me pocket money, but I could tell you that the knowledge he's given me is worth trillions. My father's influence is definitely the reason why I continue striving to push all my companies to reach the highest potential possible.
I love my pops, and admire him for everything he has accomplished. He's a man of many words, and he sticks to what he believes in. As I continue to grow, I will keep striving to be as inspirational and respected as he is. This last sentence is for you dad... I love you.
